18 Favourite Wedding Images of 2018

Dec 30, 2018

2018 was the my busiest photography year yet (maybe too busy? The verdict is still out on that). It saw some pretty high highs and some pretty low lows this year. There were many moments when I was in awe of the fact that I get to do this for a living and there were a few moments when I was ready to throw it in and find a new career. But all in all, it was a wonderful year full of blessings, wonderful clients and some new lessons learned.

And just because I love stats and it’s great to look back:

In 2018, I shot 87 different sessions – 32 of those were weddings and 8 were travel sessions –
including two sessions in Savannah, two in Ireland, two in PEI and two in Portugal.

I edited and delivered 43,738 images!

I added three new countries to my country list – Jamaica, the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) and Portugal. I also traveled to Nashville and Savannah, to Ireland with Jay for our 15th wedding anniversary. Jay, the girls and I traveled to Prince Edward Island via Quebec and New Brunswick.

Some highlights of 2018:

I spent another year with my best friend and amazing second shooter, Jess by my side at all but three of my weddings.

I branched out into brand photography (so if you’re looking for some updated, shareable photos for your business or brand, get in touch)

I added a new referral program, I photographed many families and most of them for the second (or third) time

I added a drone to our equipment and I traveled to several different places, capturing weddings and sessions on my travels.

In 2019, I look forward to many more weddings (2019 is nearly booked so if you’re getting married and still looking for a photographer, please get in touch soon!) and more travels. God has been gracious and good, providing a way for me to help support our family while doing something I truly love and believe in. Thank you to all who supported me in 2018 and Happy New Year!
