If you ever find yourself in California, be sure to visit Carmel-by-the-Sea. It’s got ocean and rolling hills – the perfect combination in my mind :) On this edition of California Travel -> Carmel-by-the-Sea Rose Farm. This was one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. I knew from the listing that it would be special, but it truly took our breath away when we arrived. Susanna was the most gracious host and if you scroll down, you’ll see some of her beautiful paintings. The little house we cozy and quaint, full of beautiful pieces and fresh flowers in each room. The back door opened on to a patio surrounded by rose bushes. The smell alone is not something I will soon forget. With the Carmel hills off in the distance and ocean only a short drive away, the location was everything. I’ve been thinking a lot, during these locked down days, that it was a place I would not mind quarantining in :)
It was such a treat to walk around this sacred space and capture all the little details – including Jess among the roses. I think that this Carmel-by-the-Sea Rose Farm is my dream. Quiet, country living with a rental property and lots and lots of flowers. Maybe once this pandemic is all over, I’ll finally go out and find that dream ;) Not in Cali of course.
In case you missed it, click here to see our first two days in California before we reached Carmel. It makes me so happy to re-live these wonderful adventures.
