Our time in East Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia was a time of exploring and swimming (sort of!) and music and relaxing and waking our kids up in the middle of the night to see the milky way and climbing the hill overlooking the cliffs. It was amazing. Only 40 minutes from Halifax, this is an amazing area with lots to do, perfect beaches and breathtaking views.
Exploring the hills + cliffs beside our airbnb
The beach at our aibnb. There wasn’t much of a beach most of the day but when the tide went out, there was beautiful, fresh sand left behind. The water, it was freezing. If you sailed directly south from this beach, you wouldn’t hit land until Venezuela!
East Lawrencetown Beach
After a rainy day, we enjoyed a beautiful evening at the beach. After putting the girls to bed, I saw THIS sunset. I ran (literally ran!) to make it to the top of the hill to watch the sunset. It was such a moment. Just me and the wildflowers and the sunset and the sound of the waves. It was one of those moments in time that I will never, ever forget.
And that incredible sunset was followed by this sky. I have never seen anything like it in my life. As we were closing up the house to go to bed, we looked out to see the milky way in all it’s glory. It was breathtaking. We woke Brennah and Leah up and took them outside, wrapped in blankets to behold this sight. It’s something they had never seen before.
